Pro-life Rally Draws Crowd in Roseburg

A crowd estimated at 75 to 100 people showed up to walk Sunday in a pro life rally in Roseburg.

The Douglas County Right to Life group organized the Walk for Life and Baby Shower that started in front of Mercy Medical Center Sunday afternoon.

The walk went down Stewart Parkway and around the corner onto Garden Valley Boulevard, eventually ending at the Seventh-day Adventist Church parking lot where a baby shower to benefit the Safe Haven Maternity Center was held.

Linda Middlekauff, the organizer from Douglas County Right to Life, said the goal is to let young women know that when they get pregnant and are in desperate situations, with limited resources, there are other options besides abortion.
